Gîte Flore at Vive le Vert
Sleeps 6 · 2 bedrooms · 1 bathroom
About this home
Blue shutters, exposed stone and garden doors: Flore is a welcoming Dordogne retreat with two bedrooms, a mezzanine and a shared saltwater pool. Sleeps five, or six with the additional folding bed.
Step through blue garden doors into Flore, a 100 m² stone gîte with exposed beams, thoughtfully chosen furnishings and the garden just outside. The smaller of Vive le Vert’s two homes, it is a welcoming base for a couple, a family or friends who want slow days by the shared pool and time to explore the Dordogne.
Easy indoor-outdoor living
The living room brings together a comfortable sofa, armchairs and a dining table, with a well-equipped kitchen close at hand. There is a full-size electric cooker, oven, microwave and dishwasher, plus a coffee maker, kettle and toaster. A washing machine is available, and Wi-Fi is provided.
Outside, find a place to eat in the garden, light the barbecue or settle into a chair among the trees. The estate extends to 1.5 hectares, with shared lawns, garden seating and a 9 × 4 metre saltwater swimming pool.
Two bedrooms and a mezzanine
- Upstairs: one bedroom with a double bed.
- A second bedroom has two single beds that can be joined as a double.
- The mezzanine has a fifth full-size bed, with a folding bed available for a sixth guest.
- The ground-floor bathroom has a shower and basin, with a separate toilet.
Flore sleeps up to six when the folding bed is used. The mezzanine sleeping space is open rather than a separate third bedroom, and stairs lead to the bedrooms.
A small estate with room to relax
Flore shares the pool and grounds with Faune, the larger gîte on the estate. It combines the privacy of your own holiday home with plenty of outdoor space for reading, playing or simply enjoying the birdsong.
Explore the northern Dordogne
Vive le Vert sits on the edge of Bussière-Badil, with woodland walks, swimming lakes and small market towns to explore. Pick up local produce in Piégut-Pluviers, spend an afternoon at the Grand Étang de Saint-Estèphe, or plan a day out in Brantôme or Angoulême.
Indicative driving times supplied by the host are around 11 minutes to Piégut-Pluviers, 13 minutes to Saint-Estèphe lake and 41 minutes to Brantôme. Limoges airport is about an hour away; Bergerac and Bordeaux airports are further options. Angoulême railway station is approximately 45 km away. A car is useful for exploring the area.
Good to know
The minimum stay advertised by the host is three nights. A cot and highchair are available on request. Pets are welcome by arrangement with the host.
The seasonal prices below are the host’s advertised weekly prices for up to four guests. Extra guests incur a supplement, which Paul still needs to confirm for this draft. Nightly prices are also available; shorter-stay totals, any other charges and booking terms will be confirmed before the property becomes bookable.
