How booking works
Every property page shows how to book it. “Enquire on Gîtes.co.uk” takes you to the host’s listing on our sister website, where you arrange your stay with them directly. “Request to book” lets you request and pay for your stay here on ChezFrance.
Properties advertised through Gîtes.co.uk
Choose “Enquire on Gîtes.co.uk” to open the property’s listing on our sister website. Contact the host there to confirm availability, the final price and their booking terms.
You arrange the booking and payment with the host through their own process. You do not book or pay for these properties on ChezFrance, and the ChezFrance booking steps below do not apply.
Properties you can book on ChezFrance
For properties offering booking through ChezFrance, follow these steps. Your accommodation agreement is with the host or agency; ChezFrance provides the booking and payment tools.
Choose your dates and check the price
Choose your dates and number of guests to see a quote for your stay. For booking requests, your host confirms availability before you pay.
ChezFrance adds no guest booking fee. Check the quote for the accommodation price and any compulsory property charges.
Send a booking request
Check the dates, price and cancellation policy, then send your request with your contact details. You won’t be asked for a card or charged at this stage.
Your request is sent to the host for a decision. It is not yet a confirmed booking.
Your host replies
The host or agency reviews your request. If they approve, we send you a secure payment link showing what to pay and the payment deadline.
If the host declines or the request expires before payment, you haven’t been charged. Homes offering Instant Book are marked: you can go straight to payment without waiting for a reply.
Pay securely and confirm your stay
Pay the deposit, or the full amount if your arrival is close, by card through Stripe. The host or agency receives the payment. Your booking is confirmed once that payment succeeds.
If a balance is due later, you’ll see its amount and due date before paying. Choose automatic collection with your explicit consent, or an emailed link to pay the balance yourself. We send reminders whichever option you choose.
You can find your booking details and cancellation policy in your private booking area. Refunds depend on the policy you accepted and your rights under applicable law.
