Maison Bear

Maison Bear is a striking Maison de Maitre located in a village in Normandy, ideal for fun family times with spacious indoor space and an enclosed garden. The house can accommodate 14 people. It is also possible to rent it for 8 guests and it is then known as Chez Bear. A cot is available and babies are welcome. Please be aware that there is no stair gate due to the width of the staircase.

As you walk through the gates at Maison Bear you are greeted by the striking symmetry of this superb Maison de Maitre and its mature garden. You will climb three steps to go through the front door and into its grand entrance hall. From here you can enter the salon or salle à manger. In the large salon, there is a comfortable seating area and pool table. A large smart TV hangs over the fireplace with an Orange Live Box showing French and some international channels. Please note, that the fireplace is for decorative purposes only and cannot be used. Large windows at each end of the room, overlook both the front garden the terrace and back garden, which can be accessed through patio doors.

Across the hall is the dining room, where you can comfortably share meals together. From here you enter the well-equipped spacious kitchen. There is a large fridge freezer, range cooker, dishwasher, microwave, air fryer, washing machine and kitchen island/breakfast bar.

The Rear hallway has a WC and a door that opens onto a raised terrace that has a table, seating and a barbeque.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. There is also a collection of indoor and outdoor games and some books for guests to use.

Outside, there is a rear terrace with sunbeds, a "plancha" (inside or outside use), a table and chairs for ‘al fresco’ dining. In the front garden, there is a bistro set and some sunbeds to relax on. The garden is mature and enclosed.

There is an oil heating system for use during the cooler months. The fireplaces are for decoration only.

Bedding and towels are provided.

On the first floor, there are four bedrooms and two bathrooms

The triple room has a king size bed, a single bed, lots of wardrobe space, a seating area and a view of the front garden.

The single room has a view of the rear garden and both share a bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate WC

The large double room has a large kingsize bed, seating area and view of the front garden.

The twin room (2 single beds) has a view of the rear garden. These share a bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate WC

(There is a second floor to the property. Please note the accommodation on the second floor is not available for guests who have booked the house as a sleeps-8. )

The house is not wheelchair accessible and please note that there are stairs and steps in the property.

Dogs are allowed in the house for an extra charge of 25€ per animal.

The house is no-smoking, however, smoking is allowed outside on the terrace and in the garden.

There is parking space available at the rear of the property and you can park on the road at the front.
